Bacall was our first "bred by" special, out of Rebel's first litter. As new breeders, we had the theme planned -- this was the "Casablanca" litter, and our keeper would be Delphi's We'll Always Have Paris, aka Ilsa. By the time she was 8 weeks old, she made it clear she was no Ilsa, and became Delphi's Put Your Lips Together & Blow - Bacall.

In the time that has elapsed, #ourleadinglady has taken us on quite the journey. She finished her AKC championship in the summer of 2018, went on to earn her grand championship in October. In 2019, she earned best in specialty prefix at the Eastern Nebraska Boston Terrier Club, and she finished the year the #2 Boston in AKC's National Owner Handled series (NOHS) and in Canine Chronicle's Top 20 breed and all breed standings. In the odd year that was 2020, she gave us a litter of four beautiful babies, received an award of merit (and an invitation to Crufts) at the Boston Terrier Club of America National Specialty, finished as the #1 Boston in the AKC NOHS and was Best of Breed at the NOHS Invitational show in Orlando in December. In 2021 she was best of breed at both the Sierra Gold Boston Terrier Club and the Boston Terrier Club of Western Washington specialties, putting an 'M' in front of her BISS title.

Not just a pretty face, Bacall has also earned Coursing Ability Excellent, Fast CAT and Canine Good Citizen titles, and with five champion offspring, she's one of the best mothers I've ever worked with. She spends her retirement lounging in whatever patch of sunshine she can find and providing nanny services to each successive litter
